Hey Poker Junkies our next installment of poker action is to be another £30 16 Player Freezeout and it is going to be held on the 31st of aug. But this game has a little twist our very own Adam Bet Basil has cashed 3 games on the trot while bein drunk each time so we at the den have put a Block of cheese on his head. This game will be streamed live on ustream & will start at 6pm GMT.
Wow Poker Junkies what can I say about last nights 5th Annual Duke Street Poker Dens Championship game??? Firstly Craig Cav was out within the first 10 Mins of play with a Preflop shove QQ vs AA…. Queen on the flop Ace on the river Sick or what. Next out and still within 14 Mins of the start of the game was new player to the Den Javid with another pair of pocket Queens vs Straight held by other new comer to the Den Punto. In 11th place was Leon the Hitman…. 10 was Madman Ian Bentley… followed next by chris .. crewy.. speedy.. muckerbell.. all in the next 5 hours of play . Then the game seemed to tighten up and then for the next 2 & half hours the last five runners battled it out until new player to the den Punto was out. leaving Lee The Arrow Farrow to take Bubble. Well played to Sonia AKA The Devil Woman for 3rd spot and yet another 2013 cash to her name. 2nd spot went to Adam Bet Basil with some good solid calls and some very risky ones to boot that gives him his 3rd consecutive cash in his last 3 games played… On fire or what!!!…. But Jonny The House Hunter was and is the Duke Street Poker Champion of 2013 with some of the best calls.. bets & folds of the game that has seen him lift the trophy & crown. Well done to all the players that took part as without you guys we wouldn’t be able to host such as good a game as we have. cheers guys pls stay tuned as looks like our next £30 will be held on the 31st of august which is only 4 weeks away.
That’s right Poker Junkies its that time of year again where we don our fancy threads and head to The Duke Street Poker Den for The Birthday Big One. with some of the best local players taking part anyone of the 16 Runners taking part could win the £200 first prize… But not only that the winner of this years game will be taking home this Beautiful 15″ Trophy. also the Den will be streaming the final table action via ustream .
What can I say about our first Monthly £30 Freezeout ? For starters I could say we had 13 of the best local players all ready to take down the £200 first prize. I could also say it was one of our most chilled out games with good banter and fair play with some of the best Folds & Calls we have ever seen in the Duke Street Poker Dens five year history. Sonia lee A.K.A Devil Woman and co Den owner took down the win with yet another calm and collective game ( this girl is on fire). Adam Bet Basil also had one of his best games in the Den making calls that wouldn’t look out of place on a high roller table in Las Vegas. The other co Den owner Louie Mucker Bell took 3rd spot with yet another good run. Other points… Amos The Ace Anderson played a solid game and was unlucky to go out on the Bubble.. Riviera Rick went out in 5th spot going out with Aces against Sonia’s Flopped Trip Fives.. Fast Eddie made a return to the Den for this game but was first out. Thanx to all the players who came and took part.
Right poker junkies just a little heads up about sat game… if we dont get the full 16 players we wanted for this game we will only be paying top 3 as we feel that from now on a prize should be worth winning. So the £360 from the 12 players we have so far chops up better for 3 rather than 4. But saying that i am trying my hardest to get the full 16 players so fingers crossed.
