Great night of Cards at Duke Street Poker with the League ever so tight at the top with just half a point seperating Winner Larris Lee and Riviera Rick, Mucker Bell grabbed a nice 2nd doing his challenge no harm at all putting him in third, Riviera Rick holding on to top spot again with a well grinded 3rd, not much between him and brother Amos the Ace on the Bubble, Jim All In was fifth and Micky Re Raise in sixth, Crazy Chris falling off the pace in 7th, Fat Hands in 8th and another 1st out for Bet Basil. Bonus points were taken by Mucker Bell for most Heads and Riviera Rick with the Best Hand Dead Mans Full (A8-FH).

Riviera Back On Top.

Well never a dull night down the Den with Riviera Rick taking back the top spot for the first time in five games with a convincing win beating Cheese Basil with Pocket Tens Versus Adam’s King Seven. Mucker Bell takes 3rd pulling back up the League to 4th with a nice game. Tony Fat Hands subbing in for Strack Attack on the bubble pulled 4th with Micky Re-Raise getting another decent point result in 5th. Fast Eddie losing his Christmas number one spot in 6th dropping to 2nd in the league. Larris Lee was out in 7th though she holds on to her top 3 placing. Small Hands Mandy filling in for luvvie Mr Mantle out in 8th. Another low placing for Amos the Ace out in 9th and Undercover Brother Chris Cook going out 1st spot. Other Bonus Points won were by Tony Fat Hands with a Full House Ace’s full of Queens. Riviera Rick did his head count some good by taking out 4 on his way to victory. Check out D.S.P.L for standings.

Mantle Goes Mental.

Well Round 6 was an all singing all dancing affair with Mr Mantle taking the spoils and bragging rights with his first win of the Season. Well done to Re-raise Reynolds with his first cash and a solid second place. Third was Larris Lee with some nice Poker picking up some nice points to boot. Fourth saw Fast Eddie hold on to first place in the standings. Fifth goes to Crazy Chris dropping a place but holding onto third spot. Sixth went to Riviera Rick who moves back up to fourth just out of the cash spots. The Dens Mucker Bell was next picking up a few points but stays in the same spot in the League. Eighth was Cheese Basil starting well but fading out. Ninth was Strack Attack falling futher down the League but above Mucker on Head takes and last but not least Amos the Ace going from first last game to first out with no points earned. Bonus points up for grabs went to Micky Re-raise with most heads and Cheese Basil taking the best hand of the night with a straight flush 2 to 6. Epic night of Poker had by all with the League still pretty tight but with four games to go anything could happen.

Amos Wins.

Well a great game of Poker as always as we hit the half way stage of D.S.P.L 1. Plenty of battles and chip shifts throughout the night seeing another poor result for Adam Cheese going out in first. Strack Attack was League leader but with a second out sees him slip down to fourth. Next to drop was our very own Mucker Bell who also falls slightly off the pace but still nothing in the between the top Seven but a few points. Next was current second spot Crazy Chris who cements his second place. Out in sixth was Fat Hands Tony subbing in AGAIN for Micky No Show then we saw Riviera Rick dropping out in fifth with a well grinded six points being short most of the night. Bubble time saw Mandy Small hands leave proceedings with a steady fourth subbing in for Larris Lee, so we hit the cash spots with Jim All in making a nice third after some poor form you’re not down the G Casino now Mantle. Heads Up with a show down between Amos the Ace and Fast Eddie, seeing some quick all in’s with chips shifting back and fourth saw Amos hit Broadway against Fast Eddie’s two pair. S Amos takes the spoils and bragging rights for this month but Fast eddie takes most heads and Scott hitting the best hand of the night with Aces full of Nines. Epic game had by all with the League wide open and all to play for.

——————–13/8/11 ——————–

What a game lastnight all the top 4 players in the league where the 1st 4 out. Well done to Chris with his first win in the league and Sonia grining out a nice 2nd spot Madman Bentley playing a good game as sub for Adam with 3rd unlucky Jim with 4th spot Amos 5th Mick 6th Louie 7th Scott 8th Eddie 9th and Rick out first…… league blown wide open ….BOOOOOOOOM

  ——————–23/7/11 ——————–

What a game we had in Round 3 of D.S.P.L with Strack Attack taking down another win with Max Points to boot taking 5 Heads on his way to Victory, he also pulled best hand of the night with Quad Jacks. Fast Eddie was unlucky to lose to Scott hitting his two pair on the river. Riviera Rick keeps his second spot with a well grinded third going short a few times. Larris Lee played well taking a fourth spot and going out on the bubble. It was Mucker Bell in fifth holding on with a short stack to pick up some vital points. Crazy Chris recklessly shoved a Pocket pair with Eddie doing the damage. Jim All in did ok as did Amos the Ace but Adam Cheese and Big Tony standing in for Mick 2 going early. Great night of Poker with the League blown wide open all to play for with plenty of points up for grabs, roll on Round 4.

  ——————–16/7/11 ——————–

Well done to Tony Fathand with the win and so far this year Tony has been hard to beat in the Den. 2nd spot was taken by Mandy who played as well as her other half Tony. 3rd spot went to Chris who seems to have found his game and has been putting it into action over the last few games. 4th Jim.. 5th Rick.. 6th Louie.. 7th Sonia.. 8th Helen.. 9th Jonny.. 10th Nacho

 ——————–18/6/11——————–

Round 2 of D.S.P.L sees Strack Attack taking a well deserved win, taking Maxamum Points, Head Hunter and Best Hand with Dead Mans Full. Mucker Bell coming in 2nd with a well grinded result going short but coming back strong, Crazy Chris pulled 3rd but hastily shoved K8 vs Stracks AK. Another Bubble for Steady Eddie and Larris Lee hitting 5th, Jim All in getting 6th with El RIviera Grinding out some points with a 7th, Mick2 Hastily losing a big stack walking into Pocket Aces with Top Pair Queens. Adam Cheese in 9th and a reverse of fortune for Amos the Ace going out first. Great Game of Poker we at Duke Street cannot wait for Round 3.

Amos and Rick Do Well

Fantastic start to the Duke Street Poker League (D.S.P.L) with Riviera Rick taking out older brother Amos the Ace for 1st place second respectivly. A strong 3rd for Mucker Bell with Fast Eddie going on the Bubble. Sonia hit a steady 5th spot with Crazy Chris going in 6th, Adam coming in seventh with an over aggressive push Ace King but Rick holding the Pre Flop Nuts Pocket Aces, Big Tony (Sub) in for Jim in 8th, Nacho (Sub) in for Strack Attack 9th and Unlucky Mick 2 going out 1st (10th) but Micks little boy was poorly so he was forced to shove early on kids come 1st. Nice Aggressive play by Larris Lee and a well held place by Crazy Chris (Short Stacked) Mucker Bell with a nice finish. Amos and Rick share the Head Hunter but Rick cements his win with the best hand. Full Results on League Page. Great game had by all. Bring on the 2nd Game its going to be Epic, tune in on Blog T.V.

Tony Fathands held on to 4th spot after starting the game strong. Yet another cash for Jim & Sonia 3rd/2nd.                                                                                                      Jim’s First Win Of 2011

Last Night’s game was the last weekly game to be held in the den and after  Mucker Bells Birthday Brawl we will be only hosting one game a month. Mr Mantle turned up with winning on his mind and boy did he win in style. he started with taking  Mucker Bell out in 5th spot. Then he took Riviera Rick out in 4th stopping Riviera from getting his 5th win and 6th cash in a row,   Larras Lee who was hitting big monster hand Quad ace’s and Quad nine’s are just a few to mention then took  Crazy Chris out in 3rd spot before going out to jim in 2nd with Trip Queens against Jims Trip Queens and only having a four kicker to rely on.

Lets not ponder on last nights no shows Jim All-in or Jon The Baptist!!! because the six players who turned up were firing on all cylinders. Congrats to  Riviera Rick who makes it four wins on the trot and also well done to  Facebook Cook who finally cashes after a long long stint of  first and seconds outs with a well earned 2nd spot. Strack Attack did well on his first  appearance in the Den with a respectable 3rd  Mucker Bell 4th, Madman Bentley 5th, Amos The Ace 6th.

3rd Time Lucky for Mickle Pickle

Well it proved to be 3rd time lucky for The Mac, having not showed to the previous two games he won on his 3rd, Re-Raise was in fine form taking a nice stack from Fast Eddie, not so lucky for Eddie who also was back in The Den at the 3rd time of asking. The other spots were made up of a nice Mantle 2nd and a steady 3rd for Mucker Bell, unlucky to Jim still searching for that 2011 Win. Another consecutive First out for Facebook Cook, Surprised ? Thanks to everyone who tuned in on Blog T.V hope to see you again soon.

——————– 26/2/11 ——————–

Well what can we say, it seems Saturday is the new Friday at Duke Street Poker. A Friday Game was looking thin till we switched to Saturday getting an instant response.

This week Den regular Riviera Rick will be looking for his 3rd Winning Game and his 4th Cash in a row, can The River flow to the bank or will Mucker Bell put an end to the run with a possible 3rd Heads Up Battle in the making. Making up the other spots are, Larras Lee looking for her 2nd Cash in as many games, our very own Mr Mantle, the return of Fast Eddie and Jon The Baptist plus Crazy Chris searching for a win in 2011, there are also two unknowns entering The Den for the 1st time (more info to follow). Don’t forget to watch on Blog T.V if you cant make the game.

Four In A Row For Rick

Massive well done to Riviera Rick for his 4th Cash in a row and his 3rd Winning Spot in a row. A Great Heads Up Battle with The Mucker (again) these two players are on fire in The Den and deserved their placings with Jon the Baptist proving hard to knock out, Larras Lee getting 4th with Den new comer Mark Le Shark coming in 5th out of a possible 8 Runners, unfortunately Fast Eddie, Mickle Pickle and Mr Mantle no shows. We can forgive Jim as he played at G-Casino Manchester and went deep in a UKIPT Qualifier, just missing out on a ticket (Poor Mantle). Thanks to everyone who tuned in on Blog T.V with some 25 people checking in on the action.

——————–  18/2/11 ——————–

Can Chris sort his game out and get his first win in 2011?  Only two ways to find out, come play or watch us live on Blog T.V. The Game will probably be a friendly £15 entry fee with usual blind raises and starting stack, only 1 seats spare so hurry up!

                                                                                           Does The House Always Win?

Well a great night of Poker in The Den with a returning win for The House,  Fat Hands also prevailed on the return making 2nd with a steady cash for Larras Lee in 3rd. Mucker Bell unlucky to make it 4 Den cashes in a row going out on the bubble. A steady night of Poker by Mantle but fizzling out later on. Mean Dean back in The Den with steady play.  Another poor performance by Facebook Cook again going out 1st place.

Hand of note – Larras vs Cook vs Mean Dean, Nut Straight, Flush Draw, Two Pair respectively, with Larras taking out Mean Dean and Crazy Chris in one foul swoop. Sonia doing well after a few games of not cashing. Thanks to everyone who played, you make it happen.

——————–  11/2/11 ——————–

Duke Street Poker Game on Friday. Runners confirmed, Mucker Bell, Larras Lee, Facebook Cook,  Mr Mantle and Riviera Rick, will Rick and Mucker make it 3 cashes in a row? Can Devil Woman break her streak? Will Clod go Crazy or Cash? Will Jim Allin get his first win of 2011? Only two ways to find out, come play or watch us live on Blog T.V.                                                                                  Winner Rick with 2nd spot Mucker Bell

A small game but with great quality, Riviera Rick managed to take the win for two wins a row and a third consecutive cash, Mucker Bell also made it a 3rd cash in a row with a repeat Final. Larras Lee also broke her bad run of form at the expense of Facebook Cook who crashed out early, Mr Mantle Jim All in made up the 3rd spot with a great display early on, a hand of note was the 3 way action Straight vs Two Pair vs Flush Draw, Mucker with the Straight and Jim with the Two pair, Riviera hitting the Flush on 4th Street, Rick was made to sweat Mantles Full House chance on the river but it didn’t occur, Mucker Bell took the rest of Mr Mantles stack leaving the two friends Heads up.

A great Heads up encounter, with the chips moving back and forth, in the end the two triple cashes were all in with Riviera having Pocket Kings vs Muckers Ace Jack. Another sweat for Rick as the cards are dealt but no Ace comes with Rick just out weighing Louie by a few hundred chips. Epic.

Thanks to everyone great standard as usual.

Another live stream success seeing Mucker Bell come out on top with a heads up show down with Jim All in with Facebook Cook finishing the line up. Great game with a crazy Ace-Ace vs Ace-Ace all in, both pocket Aces for hole cards a rare occurrence and quite funny to see the disapointed faces as both cards are shown. Some great singing performed by our very own Mr Mantle and general good times and laughs.

Well Saturday was a great night of Poker both home and away. Some players headed to Leeds whilst others stayed at The Den for a Tourney. Well done to Adam “Bomb” Thomas for chopping a £1700 pot at Leeds Gala Casino, great result Adam. Adam ran a cash game on Sunday more details to follow. The Tourney saw Riviera Rick come out on top with some brilliant play from all runners, especially Mucker Bell and Tony Fat Hands who made up the other cash spots. Well done guys. A special thanks to everyone who tuned in for the game, hope you all enjoyed the banter and good play all round, same next week so tune in on Blog T.V.

The Jovial Hatters Colne

On Sunday Adam Bomb ran a cash game at local Pub The Jovial, Riviera Rick, Larris Lee and Mr Mantle attending, some crazy players up there but its a chance to get your money in and hit big, Riviera Rick did well in a short time with Jim All In hitting too, unfortunatly for Larris Lee the cards did not run her way but a valiant effort still the same.

——————–  22/01/11 ——————–

Trip to the G-Casino Manchester for Rick “La Riviera” Anderson and Ben “Blagger” Duggans Birthdays. Good Luck to all the Duke Street Poker Dens runners and riders!

The G-Casino false advertised a £20 buy in and £10 re-buy tournament and proceeded to continue with a different format. Duke Street Poker are not impressed !

As it happens The Duke Street  Poker Crew were not to be too down hearted and put on a £20 Freeze out tourney followed by a cash game. Well done to Simon “Lucky Bugger” Bucknell  for 1st with The Dens Rick “La Riviera” Anderson and Sonia “Larris” Lee 2nd and 3rd respectively.

A cash game followed with decent cashes for Riviera Rick, Larris Lee, Jim All in and Senor Butch. Losses for Loco Lee, Bad Beat Barry,  Bonafide Boo and Facebook Cook.
