Massive well done to old timer Robert Baguley for taking down the Nottingham leg of the UKIPT. Robert showed the youngsters how it’s done also earning himself nearly £250K in the record beating UK based Poker Tour Event. The retired Landlord from Leicestershire didn’t start the table highest in chips but he certainly finished that way.
The record breaking field for a UK tournament including big names and Pro’s was a huge success and shows how far British Poker is coming. In the last few years it has grown and grown and every year more players come to try their shot at the big time! Baguley got his place via a live tourney satalite for just £224 minus that from the total winnings = £210,176 profit, not bad for a few days work.
Duke Street Poker would like to wish Robert Baguley well and it just shows no matter how many internet kids or young guns enter the older generation still has a great chance to take down titles, so kudos to you Rob.
